Michael Nilges: Visualizing Protein 3D Structures

Michael Nilges talks about the role of visualization in determining and using 3D structures of proteins and other macromolecules. He presents some of the standard resources and methods used for finding and visualizing 3D structures, and he illustrates a range of different visual representations that are used to convey experimental uncertainty, and to give insight into function. This talk was part of VIZBI 2010, the EMBO workshop on visualizing biological data (http://vizbi.org). This video has been filmed and distributed with permission under a creative common license.
