Jernej Ule: Visualizing Alternative Splicing

Jernej Ule ( describes how state of the art experimental approaches can be applied to elucidate functional RNA interactions relevant to transcription regulation and how they relate to the synaptic proteome. iCLIP and TIA-iCLIP allow the creation of 'RNA Maps', which quantitatively identify locations where RNA binding proteins interact to regulate transcription and alternative splicing, and facilitate understanding of the role of uridine tracts in ALU exons.
